Jami's Friday Feast

Feast 185 I haven't done the feast in a few weeks, but this week I did mine and EDW's as well, here, because I figure that my made up answers tell you as much about me as her truthful ones would tell you about her. Also, because I'm lazy. Appetizer What does the color dark green make you think of? Oh, so many things. A nice hideaway in a wooded area where you can't really see the sun for all the trees. My senior prom dress. My living room curtains. The Jaguar S-type I lust after - haven't decided if I want it in green or grey. Soup How many cousins do you have? Exactly two. Small family, I guess. Salad On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how honest are you? 8.5 Main Course Name something that is truly free. Someone going commando? Or did you mean at no cost? Dessert Using the letters in the word SPRING, write a sentence. Seriously, Prince really is not gay.

Jami's Friday Feast

Feast 180 Appetizer Have you ever played a practical joke on anyone? If so, what did you do and who was your victim? In Girl Scouts we did several. Once on April Fools Day, my dad told about how he had put salt in the sugar bowl when he was a kid and someone put salt in their coffee. I did it the following April Fools and he put the salt on his Cheerios and then yelled at me because he'd had to throw the whole bowl out. He did apologize after I told him he gave me the idea. Soup What do your salt and pepper shakers look like? They are the smaller blue Tupperware ones, which apparently they no longer make. We also have ones that match our china. Salad Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)? We're going to Erie beach in August. Main Course What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry? Whatever we have. I get lotions for gifts fairly regularly (I must look dry), or else I buy whatever decent brand is on sale. Usually Intensive Care or Suave. Dessert Make up a dessert, tell us its ingredients, and give it a name. Sliced strawberries coated with molten chocolate and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I'll call it Berry Tasty.

Feast 178 Appetizer What is your favorite kind of cereal? Cheerios. It's the classic. Delicious, crunchy AND good for you. How can you go wrong with Cheerios? Soup When was the last time you purchased something for your home, what was it, and in which room did it go? I am not sure if this counts as purchased, but I used my "points" on a website I visit to get us an electric griddle. It's in the kitchen (duh). We've used it a ton, and I really didn't think we'd use it much, but the Husband really wanted one. Salad What is the funniest commercial you’ve ever seen? I can't remember what it was for, but there was a commercial in the 80s where a bunch of stuff kept going wrong, basically destroying someone's house? I don't even really remember what all happened, but I remember howling every time I saw it. Main Course Make up a name for a company by using a spice and an animal (example: Cinnamon Monkey). Tarragon Alligator. I have no idea what this question means. Dessert Fill in the blank: I haven’t ______ since ______. I haven't ridden a bicycle since I was about 12.

Jami's Friday Feast

Feast 175 Appetizer What is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called? I have two middle names - Lynn and my maiden name - and I wouldn't change it. I always wanted a name that came with a nickname, Jami is already a nickname so I didn't have a really formal name. Soup If you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most? Um, I would probably use a lot of black, and whatever fabrics are comfy and inexpensive? I know nothing about this. Salad What is your least favorite chore, and why? Doing the dishes. I got a dishwasher and now EVERYTHING goes in it. If it can't go into the dishwasher, I don't want it in my kitchen. Baking stones excepted. Main Course What is something that really frightens you, and can you trace it back to an event in your life? I am really terrified of being permanently lost, see here. I don't know what could have caused this. Dessert Where are you sitting right now? Name 3 things you can see at this moment. On the recliner in the living room. I can see my son, my dog and my telephone.

Soup What is currently your favorite song? Sing, Mary, Sing - Jennifer Knapp. It's a great Christmas song Salad What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year? Realistically? Those express board games and anything Simpsons. Just dreaming? A big pile of money so we can adopt again. Main Course Name a scent that reminds you of someone special in your life. Main Course What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way? There are a limit to the number of second chances you should give someone. Dessert Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room. It would be very warm, probably in the mid 80s, humid, very dimly lit. Feast 170 Appetizer What is your favorite carnival/amusement park ride? Anything fast, high and dangerous-seeming, roller-coasters, etc. Soup How do you react in uncomfortable social situations? Depends on who's uncomfortable. If it's like everyone then I tend to change the subject/tell jokes. If it's just one person, I'll try to take the attention off him/her. If it's me, well, there's too many variables on that one. Salad On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy discussing deep, philosophical topics? Gosh, that's hard. I don't like to spend hours and hours debating hypotheticals or doctrine or whatever, but I do like having deep conversations in some situations. Also, I love a good debate now and then. Soup What year did you start using the Internet? 1994, one of my co-interns on my summer internship showed me how to use it, even thought at the time I didn't want to let him know that I'd never done anything except email from my college computer lab. Salad What is your first name in Pig Latin? Mee-Jay Main Course Name something you are picky about. Geez, do you have the time? I could make you a giant list. Let's say, I can't stand eating eggs and cheese if I see them touching. Dessert Fill in the blanks: I ____ ____ yesterday and I ____ ____ today. I cleaned house yesterday and I am cleaning today. AND THE WINNER IS: Lori, once again! Thank for playing the Word Game and I'll post a new word next week.

I do all of Eddie's laundry every Saturday, unless I know I'm going to be out, and then I do it Friday. I carry it all down, run it through the washer and then put it on the line if it's nice out.
