Jami Has a Giggle
Today, in the 7-11, while one clerk waited on me, the other read over an application someone had just handed him. He nodded as he perused the first part then frowned. The following is the honest-to-goodness exchange between the clerks that followed:
"I hate it when their only references are their mom and their parole officer."
"Another one?"
"Yeah, but other than that it's a good one."
And that's all I have to say about that.

Funny.
But really, it's 7-11. If you can get the CEO of a Fortune 500 company as a reference, you're probably not looking to work at the 7-11...unless you REALLY like Slurpees.

Let me add - I am mostly basing this on the stoners who work at my Wawa. We are a Wawa family. But they are very nice alleged stoners.

Good points. I think I was most tickled by the fact that it happens often enough to be something that this guy is annoyed by. That's just not good.

Perhaps I'm not going into 7-11's much anymore. :)
The one I did walk into often had ever changing cast of college students.
